The theme for my Fundamentals session this week is "Trust".
We will look at trusting the process, trusting the unknown, trusting us.
In other words, we will ask, what are the processes unfolding in us as we are together? What are the new possibilities that are emerging? What do we notice as we consider these questions?
Recently I have been spending a lot of time sitting in a forest, waiting, watching and listening. Occasionally a deer or a squirrel will come past. There are two trees that are surrounded by ceremonial circles of stones and branches. I like to lie next to them.
It is a space of soil and trunk, branch and leaf. I experience it as an invitation to a deep process of restoration and transformation. It is as if the space says, "I will guide you where you need to go next, if you are willing to trust". And: "I will unfold you into who you are becoming next, if you are willing to trust".
And I say, softly, yes, yes, yes.
And I sing, wildly, yes, yes, yes.

This session is the second in a series of twenty-seven that I will offer, inspired by my 500 mile walk across Spain earlier this year. As I undertook the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail, I would, most days, ask someone to choose a piece of music which connected to why they were walking. I received 27 pieces of music in total and I will use each one to inspire a Fundamentals session. The inspiration for “trust” came from the Billy Joel song “Its Always Been a Matter of Trust”.
